Recently, some of you may have received letters from companies about refinancing your UW Credit Union mortgages. The letters have usually said "University of Wisconsin CU" and contain your loan amount, rate and mortgage payment. These letters did not come from UW Credit Union, and UW Credit Union did not sell information to these companies. Information regarding your mortgage is public record that can be looked up on city websites and is likely how your information was obtained and used in the letter.
