A new phone scam has targeted customers of area financial institutions. People received automated voicemails asking them to call back to verify account information.
UW Credit Union will never call you or send an unsolicited phone call, email or text message that requests you to "confirm" or "update" your password, PIN or account information. If you receive a message you are unsure about, contact us at 608-232-5000 or 800-533-6773.
- Sign up for Email & Text Alerts.
- Review your account statements. Report any suspicious activity to us immediately. Use Web Branch to verify withdrawals, deposits, payments and transactions.
- Monitor your credit report. Free reports are available at annualcreditreport.com. Review and confirm that all accounts listed are yours and that no unauthorized activity has taken place. Learn more about credit reports.
- Keep your information with us up-to-date. It is important that we have your current daytime phone number, including your cell phone number, in case we need to validate a transaction with you. Update your information.
