UW Credit Union Purchases AMCORE Building in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin

August 3, 2009 - UW Credit Union today announced a definitive agreement to purchase the AMCORE Bank building located at 2365 North Mayfair Road in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. The 14,000 square foot building will become UW Credit Union’s third branch location in Milwaukee.

“We are in a unique position, with our strong balance sheet, to be able to expand service at this time with the purchase of a new building that will provide our more than 20,000 members and University of Wisconsin alumni living in the area with added convenience,” said President and CEO Paul Kundert.

UW Credit Union will open the Wauwatosa branch in Spring 2010. The full-service branch will include drive-up lanes, surcharge free ATMs and convenient parking. Members and the community will have access to consumer savings, checking and lending solutions. The location will also offer home loans and personal investment services.

“We are pleased to respond to member requests for an additional Milwaukee location that provides convenient service to the Wauwatosa and Brookfield communities,” said Kundert. “UW Credit Union continually seeks opportunities to expand its services and offer convenience to existing members – and to welcome new members to the credit union.”

UW Credit Union’s purchase of the AMCORE building does not include customer deposits or assets which remain with AMCORE.
