UW Credit Union Purchases Equitable Bank Property in Waukesha, Wisconsin

June 3, 2010 – UW Credit Union today announced a definitive agreement to purchase the Equitable Bank property located at 21215 East Moreland Boulevard in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The property will become UW Credit Union’s fourth branch location in Milwaukee, and the 18th branch location in Wisconsin.

"Our strong balance sheet allows us to expand service to the Milwaukee community with the purchase of a new location that will provide our more than 8,500 members and University of Wisconsin alumni living in the area with added convenience," said President and CEO Paul Kundert.

UW Credit Union will open the Waukesha branch in Summer 2011. The full-service branch will include drive-up lanes and surcharge free ATMs. Members and the community will have access to consumer savings, checking and lending solutions. The location will also offer home loans and personal investment services.

"UW Credit Union continually seeks opportunities to expand its services and offer convenience to existing members – and to welcome new members to the credit union."

UW Credit Union’s purchase of the Equitable Bank property does not include customer deposits, loans or investment center which will remain at Equitable Bank.

UW Credit Union welcomed over 14,000 new members in 2009 to the credit union, and opened its third Milwaukee branch on April 12, 2010, at 2365 North Mayfair Road in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Additional UW Credit Union Milwaukee branches are located in Glendale and on the UW-Milwaukee campus.
