Safely Shred & Recycle Unneeded Confidential Documents

July 26, 2010 – UW Credit Union has partnered with Shred-it, Inc. to host a Shred-it Event in the Milwaukee area. The event will be held at UW Credit Union’s Mayfair branch at 2365 North Mayfair Road in Wauwatosa, WI. The event is free and open to the public, and is held to help members of the community safely dispose of unwanted personal documents.

Shredding services will be available on Saturday, July 31, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

"We’re excited to host a community shred in the Milwaukee area this year," said Paul Kundert, President and CEO of UW Credit Union. "Not only does shredding sensitive documents decrease risk of identity theft, but recycling the shredded paper contributes significantly to conservation efforts."

Shred-it, Inc. specializes in providing secure document destruction services. After material is shredded on site, it is subsequently baled and recycled. This ensures that private information is disposed of safely, and that the paper shredding helps save the environment in the process.
