UW Credit Union Launches MoneyCoach, a Free Online Financial Education Resource

March 21, 2011 – Madison, WI – UW Credit Union is pleased to announce the launch of a new financial education resource, MoneyCoach. This free, interactive Web-based tool allows individuals to set financial goals and receive the education necessary to achieve them. MoneyCoach includes resources for people facing personal financial challenges and will help them cope with today's challenges and plan for their long-term financial success.

MoneyCoach has more than 50 educational modules available and is a valuable resource to anyone who wants to improve their financial well-being. Topics range from basic information such as budgeting and careful spending to more complex topics such as home buying, investing, insurance and more. MoneyCoach meets users' changing needs throughout different stages of their lives. Over time, users can add or delete goals to choose those that are relevant, which will allow them to continue to increase their financial literacy.

"MoneyCoach is an easy-to-use tool that is available for anyone looking to get a better understanding of their financial situation so that they can maintain and improve their financial health," said Jaimes Johnson, Director of Community and Campus Relations at UW Credit Union. "This new resource is convenient--people can access custom, relevant financial education anytime, from anywhere they have Internet access."

MoneyCoach has been added to UW Credit Union's portfolio of free financial education offerings, which includes the BALANCE Financial Fitness Program, newsletters, articles, My Credit Score and face-to-face seminars. In 2009 and 2010, UW Credit Union received the Governor's Financial Literacy Award in Wisconsin for their efforts.

UW Credit Union has partnered with Educated Investor, a Precision Information company, to provide MoneyCoach. Educated Investor's MoneyCoach software and content was developed from Precision Information's proprietary database of financial education materials.
