The card will be activated within 12 hours, and the person you give it to can use the value on the card to make purchases anywhere Visa Debit is accepted, worldwide. Purchases can even be made online.

Note: Due to the nature of prepaid gift cards, any purchase that may involve an unknown final amount at the point of approval, cannot be made using a gift card. Those purchases include pay-at-the-pump gasoline, hotel and car rental reservations, or restaurants where tipping will be included. Cash cannot be obtained with the cards, and they are not re-loadable or refundable.
