UW Credit Union to Open New Branch in Elm Grove on February 6

Madison, WI – February 2, 2023 – UW Credit Union officially opens its Elm Grove branch on Monday, February 6. The full-service branch is located at 15300 W Bluemound Road and features 24-hour drive-through service.

Elm Grove is the first of the credit union’s 31 branches to feature interactive teller machines (ITM) in both the lobby and the drive-up. Unlike typical ATM machines, ITM’s enable members to choose their cash withdrawal denominations. Users can also make loan payments and deposits. User prompts are available in both English and Spanish with branch staff readily available to assist during lobby hours.

UW Credit Union has steadily increased its footprint in Western-Milwaukee suburbs. In addition to two separate Wauwatosa locations, the credit union has branches in West Allis, New Berlin and Waukesha.

“The Milwaukee market now comprises one third of our total branch presence,” said Fe Cooper, Milwaukee Director of Member Sales & Service. “Not only do thousands of University of Wisconsin System graduates call Milwaukee home, we’re seeing many members migrate west into Waukesha county. As our Milwaukee management team expands accordingly, we are thrilled to physically support that local presence while actively recruiting a diverse pipeline of talent.”

As the presenting partner of Milwaukee Brewers™ baseball, UW Credit Union will celebrate the start of spring training at the new Elm Grove branch on Friday, February 24, from 11-1 p.m. The first 50 people to arrive will receive a Brewers water bottle. The celebration includes a Brewers mascot appearance and photo booth plus snacks and refreshments from local Milwaukee favorites. Beginning February 6, anyone who stops by the new branch can enter for a chance to win baseball-themed prizes on behalf of the credit union. Prizes include autographed baseballs, game tickets, shirts, bobbleheads, and concession vouchers.*
