Today Show's Jean Chatzky Shares an Evening of Smart Money Tips with UW Credit Union Members
MADISON, WI – July 22, 2019 – Jean Chatzky, the financial editor of NBC’s Today Show and an award-winning personal finance journalist, will share an evening of smart money tips with UW Credit Union members at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, July 23, at the Edgewater Hotel grand ballroom.
In her ‘Making Money Make Sense’ personal finance mini-seminar, Chatzky will share finance fundamentals and strategies for achieving financial happiness with 200 UW Credit Union members.
Chatzky’s best advice on financial success: “Save more. You can fix any financial problem by saving more. For people living on the edge, that’s more difficult. They have to solve the other problem on the other side of the equation, which is to earn more.”
Born in Michigan, Chatzky spent ages 2 to 11 in Madison with her father the late Chuck Sherman, who taught communications arts and served as associate dean at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
In 2018, she launched HerMoney, a multimedia company out to change the relationships women have with money, inspired by her weekly podcast “HerMoney with Jean Chatzky”. Her new book on the same topic, “Women with Money,” was published in March this year.
Chatzky has been recognized as one of the country’s 30 best magazine columnists by the Chicago Tribune. In 2009, the Consumer Federation of America awarded Chatzky the Betty Furness Consumer Media Service Award for nearly two decades of pioneering personal finance education.
You can read about Chatzky’s current focus on the financial empowerment of women in this new story that InBusiness published prior to her money seminar with UW Credit Union members.
