Increased Premium Offered to Spanish-Speaking Employees
Pay hike reflects UW Credit Union’s dedication to Spanish-speaking members

Madison, WI – Sept. 20, 2021 – To better serve our diverse membership, UW Credit Union is pleased to announce an enhancement to our pay premiums for bilingual (English/Spanish) employees in member-focused roles.
Our talented Spanish-speaking employees assist members in person, over the phone and by email. A member's ability to receive financial assistance in their dominant language is key to helping them achieve their financial goals.
In addition to a competitive base wage, UW Credit Union is paying eligible hourly Spanish-speaking employees an extra $1.25 per hour. Eligible salaried Spanish-speaking employees receive an additional $100 per pay period. This amounts to approximately $2,400 to $2,600 additional compensation per year for full-time employees.
