UWCU Awarded Green Master Status
UW Credit Union once again earns the award for our commitment to sustainability and community.
Madison, WI – Nov. 4, 2025 – UW Credit Union has been named a 2025 Green Master by the Sustainable Business Council.
The announcement was made Nov. 4 at SBC’s Awards Dinner and Green Masters Program Celebration in LaCrosse.
In 2017, UW Credit Union was the first financial institution in Wisconsin to be recognized as a Green Masters company. We have earned recognition every year since.
The program provides a formal framework to define, prioritize, and measure sustainability efforts across environmental, social, and governance (ESG) areas. “Community Support is one facet of the Credit Union Difference,” said Brad McClain, chief financial officer. McClain also oversees all of the credit union’s construction projects. “A major part of community support involves making investments in our Earth right now that will have positive benefits for generations to come.”
