1 All Certificates: Compounded daily and paid quarterly (IRA's paid monthly). Your Premium Checking account must be opened at the time your certificate is opened or renewed to receive a higher rate. If your Premium Checking account is closed before final maturity of the certificate, your rate may be reduced to the regular dividend rate and annual percentage yield. Substantial penalties will be charged if certificate funds are withdrawn prematurely. Penalty will be based on the certificate's dividend rate at the time of the premature withdrawal. (See Financial Specialist or Truth in Savings disclosure for details and possible exceptions).
2 Smart Saver Certificates: Add deposits anytime. Minimum balance to open is $250 if adding deposits of at least $25 per month via automatic transfer or Web Branch, otherwise $500. $100,000 maximum balance. For Smart Saver Plus accounts, during the month of December, you may withdraw principal, without penalty, before maturity as long as at least $250 remains in the account. Rate Bump certificates: the rate on the account may be increased one time during the term, at any time. The eligible new rate is the most current rate offered for the same Rate Bump Certificate term and based on the balance of the account.
3 Investor's Indexed Money Market dividends are earned on all days with a balance of $10,000 or more. The dividend rate may change weekly and is based on an index rate (index) which shall be between 70% and 130% of the 3-month Constant Maturity Treasury Rate (CMT) as published in The Wall Street Journal. For balances of $10,000 or greater, the APY will be no less than the index minus 1.10%; for balances of $50,000 or greater, the APY will be no less than index minus 1.0%; for balances of $100,000 or greater, the APY will be no less than the index minus .90%; and for balances of $250,000 or greater, the APY will be no less than the index minus .80%. In no case will the account interest rate be less than .01%.
4 Money Market, Savings (Personal, Business and Organization), Youth Savings, College Fund, and IRA Savings accounts are compounded daily and paid monthly. Youth Savings account dividends are earned on all days with a balance of $5 or more. Other Savings dividends (including College Fund and IRA) are earned on all days with a balance of $100 or more.
5 Checking dividends are compounded and paid monthly. Premium and Trust & Estate checking dividends are earned on collected balances of $1,000 or more each month. Business checking dividends are earned on average collected balances of $5,000 or more each month.
6 No Penalty Certificate: No penalty for early withdrawal during the certificate term. Full or partial withdrawals may be made after the first 5 days of the certificate term. If the withdrawal will reduce your certificate balance to a different APY tier, the entire balance must be withdrawn, and the certificate will be closed.
All certificates and money market accounts above apply to business, organization, or personally-held accounts. Only individuals are eligible to own IRA accounts.
*APY is Annual Percentage Yield. APY for all accounts is based on a 365-day year, and assumes that dividends remain in the account until maturity. A withdrawal will reduce earnings. Unless dissolved, UW Credit Union guarantees payments of dividends at the rates stated. Account rates are variable and may change after the account is opened.
**Investor’s Advantage Money Market, Savings, and Checking account rates are variable and may change after the account is opened.
