Milwaukee, WI – Sept. 22, 2022 – President and CEO Paul Kundert recently signed the Region of Choice Corporate Pledge, a commitment to hiring more African American and Latino/Hispanic employees in the Milwaukee region.

We are among more than 130 employers – and the first Milwaukee credit union – to take this step. The pledge was initiated by the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce, which serves Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington and Waukesha Counties.

“While we strive to make progress in every aspect of diversity,” the document states, “this pledge is intended to address the acute disparities facing African American and Latino/Hispanic professionals in our community.”

The pledge calls out our intention to do the following by 2025:

  • Increase African American or Latino/Hispanic managers by 25%.
  • Increase total employment of African Americans or Latinos/Hispanics by 15%.

“Signing this pledge shows our commitment to action,” said Kundert. “It aligns with our corporate values and pushes us to continue doing what’s right for the communities we serve.”
