Important Information for Members Refinancing their Mortgages

In the past weeks, mortgage rates have declined rapidly while continuing to fluctuate daily. During the daily disruptions of COVID-19, our mortgage department remains fully operational, and we are committed to providing a smooth refinancing process.

Due to the unprecedented rate decline, thousands of homeowners are refinancing. To help boost our ability to serve members quickly, we have streamlined the loan process.

Understand the refinance process:

  • Submit your mortgage loan refinance application online.
  • After you submit your application, you will be contacted within a matter of days.
  • Rest assured that your application will be carefully tracked, and you will be contacted in the order your application is received.
  • To help us work quickly, please avoid calls or emails to check on your application status.
  • Your mortgage loan officer will be in touch for a personal consultation to help you choose your best refinancing option.
  • Then, you and your loan officer will plan next steps to complete your refinance.

When can I lock my loan rate? Rates are moving up and down frequently so it’s understandable many people are anxious to lock their rate. For refinance loans, we cannot lock your rate at the time you submit an application. You will have the opportunity to review rates and lock the rate prior to accepting a scheduled closing date. Know that we are working quickly to process your application and finalize your loan.
